For those who feel a truck has to be set to one type of persona, this takes those pre conceived notions and throws them out the door. While this vehicle has many similarities to its cousin the pre 2011 Ford Ranger, it feels like you are driving a SUV. And you don’t need to be a macho man or woman to own a truck anymore. It’s almost a gender neutral version of utility. Very practical, has masculine exterior but inside it has a practical sense to it. For a parent of a toddler, it had better room then the new Ranger or the Santa Cruz. My wife enjoys driving it, not feeling overwhelmed after having a F-150. Gas mileage is decent, averaging 25 mpg on the 2.0 turbo engine. The bed is another thing, I feel I can haul what I want, it’s so clever and it’s also super customizable. 2 thumbs up from this Gen X dude who has owned a F-150 and Chevy Avalanche.

I ordered the Maverick First Edition and I had to wait. But it was worth the wait. I was skeptical because the price was very low. The dealership I chose, Galloway Ford did not mark up the vehicle like others have. It is the perfect small truck. For just doing things around the house. Definitely would recommend.

I have this truck for 17 days and already have 3000 very happy miles. I am a fuel maximizer and always try to reduce my fuel use. This truck really helps with that. By paying attention to the information in the display I have gotten as high as 63.2 miles per gallon on winding hilly roads and about 40 mph on the highway. Right now I'm getting 53 in what I consider normal driving on the roads if Cape Cod. I am a carpenter and with a bed extension (less than $100 online) I can carry anything I need. The ride us much smoother and quieter than the Tacoma it has replaced and I'm using less than half the gas. There is wind noise on the highway but mostly it is quiet. Visibility is much better and the interior is very nicely laid out but one complaint is that the in-door bottle holder does not work well. The bottle flies out every time I close the door. Another problem is that mud and water leak out around the tail lights from tire spray. Makes me wonder about future corrosion, ill try adding mud flaps
